Can you tell me how to get meet results from 2011? I do not like the new website. Also, why is it that the results from the simon’s rock and hearty breakfast meet are not showing up under event rankings on the usMs website?

On the left side of the website is a list of menus. Select Results. On the Results page you will see a link to the 2011 results that have been submitted thus far.

I am sorry you do not like the new website. Please email the president of NEM, Bill Ewan (W1VH@cox.net) to suggest improvements.

Regarding the USMS issue, please contact the USMS webmaster, Jim Matysek with questions. Thanks.

Could I once again PLEAD with you guys as the generous hosts of the Harvard meet–i.e. SCY NE champs, to consider the swimmers coming from distant locations, and this year do the meet in 4 consecutive days rather than splitting it up, unnecessarily causing alot more expense and time on the highways to make 2 trips to Boston Please consider this!!

Kristi — We ran the SCY Champs in 4 consecutive days in 2008, and the response from swimmers was overwhelmingly negative. There were two primary reasons given:

      1. Swimmers did not like needing to take Thursday as a day off from work. They far preferred to have the distance day take place on a week-end.

      2. Swimmers in the 1000/1650 freestyle said that without the week (or 6 days) to recover from their 1000/1650 swim, they were wiped out for the rest of the meet, and the rest of their events suffered. The feedback was that swimmers preferred the week of recovery time after the 1000/1650 free, to make the best of their other events.

So we did try it. But for the most part, people did not like it.
