Belmont Aquatics Seeks Assistant Coach
BELMONT AQUATIC TEAM (BAT)

Belmont Aquatic Team (BAT), a registered USA swim team with approximately 80 swimmers, is looking for an assistant coach to work with our younger, developmental swimmers.
You must be available Monday – Thursday from 4:15 – 6:30, Friday from 5:30 – 7:30 and Saturday from 7 – 9 am. On approximately two weekends per month, you would need to be available for swim meets.
The ideal coach should have competitive and coaching experience, stroke technique knowledge. He/She must bring enthusiasm, energy and a positive attutide to each practice. He/She will need or need to get CPR, First aid and Coaches Safety training Certification along with passing a background check.
Duties would include, but not limited to, working with developmental level swimmers on stroke technique, starts and turns. Must assist at meets and be at all team functions.

Board of Directors: Tracy’s and David’s term ends October 30, 2011. They are interested in running for a second term. All other terms end in 2012.
Of special note, Jim Terry will end his tenure as Treasurer in 2012. We will need to find his replacement during the upcoming year.
Officers: Carol’s term as Secretary expires October 30, 2011. Michael Sever is interested in NEM Secretary. He is supported by Bill and will be forwarding qualifications and experience before our Annual Meeting.

Cambridge Masters is hosting a Starts and Turns Clinic.
This Clinic will cover FlipTurns and Open Turns/IM Turns from 9-10:30, then Block Starts and Backstroke Starts from 10:30-12:00.

Wellesley Masters seeking Part Time Assistant Coach
Wellesley Masters is accepting applications for a part-time swim coach for morning workouts. Wellesley Masters (WELL) is a program for adult swimming enthusiasts who wish to improve their aquatic fitness and technique. Wellesley Masters offers comprehensive training to adult swimmers of all abilities. Our team consists of competitive swimmers, fitness swimmers, and triathletes, all of whom are enthusiastic adult athletes. Applicants should be energetic, knowledgeable, and a self-starter. It is also essential that the individual be able to maintain the excellent lines of communications necessary to continue the rapport we have with our team members.
The part-time assistant will take direction from the head coach and team president as well as offer ideas and input to improve and enhance the training experience of our master’s athletes. Assistant must also take initiative to expand his/her knowledge base. The head coach will provide direction and offer points of focus throughout the season. Coach will also attend all scheduled team events and assigned weekend meet sessions as scheduled. Assist with other training groups as needed.
Other responsibilities include giving feedback to swimmers during training to improve stroke technique and efficiency. Candidate must be comfortable working with adults of all abilities and have a positive attitude. Consistent attendance and performance is a must. Assistant must be able to safely manage a practice with swimmers, organize practices, and effectively communicate with swimmers and other coaches.
Minimum Qualifications: Past coaching experience preferred. Certifications needed are background check as well as current Masters Coach, CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications. Compensation is an hourly rate. Position is open until filled.
