This year’s postal swim will be over Jan 18th and 19th. Last year, New England Masters won the national championship in this event by posting more total yards than any other club in the country! The postal swim is a 1 hour swim in which swimmers attempt to swim as many yards as possible. Each swimmer needs a counter to record their splits and also the total yardage. Find a buddy and get your slots reserved now!

I will be getting the sheets and website information out to you when it becomes available. Depending on the number of swimmers, we will swim 12 swimmers per session, 2 per lane/ splitting the lane in half and signups for each date/session will come on a first come, first serve basis. We will also be hosting USMS registered swimmers from other workout groups to our pool for these sessions!

We will be hosting postal swims on the following days and times. It is important to show up on time and get started on time for these session to ensure they are completed within the time frames below to adhere to the pool schedule. I have allowed 15 minutes before and between sessions to warm up and change positions.

Friday – January 18th from 3 – 5:30pm – Session A = 3:15 – 4:15, Session B = 4:30 – 5:30
(I will NOT be here during these swims. The Greenwood team will NOT be practicing on this day)

Saturday – January 19th from 5am – 7:30am – Session C = 5:15a – 6:15a, Session D= 6:30a – 7:30a

Saturday – January 19th from 3:30 pm – 7:30pm – Session E = 3:45 – 4:45p, Session F = 5p – 6p, Session G= 6:15 – 7:15p (if needed)

This will also be a timed 1.2 mile event for the triathlon swimmers who NEED this time for training purposes for their upcoming season!
