Dr. Alan Goldberg, a nationally-recognized expert in the field of applied sports psychology, will be appearing in Concord on Sunday, September 23, 2007. His talk, “Racing Your Fastest When it Counts the Most – Mental Toughness for Peak Performance,” is geared to swimmers, triathletes and participants in other endurance sports. It will begin at 1:00 (doors open at 12:30) and will last one hour followed by a question-and-answer session. A nationally-known sports psychologist, Dr. Goldberg specializes in helping athletes overcome fears & blocks, snap out of slumps, and perform to their potential. He is recognized for his ability to take the subjects of sports psychology and peak performance and present them in a humorous, practical and easy-to-understand manner. Dr. Goldberg was recently featured in a front-page article of the August 5 New York Times.
