NEM E-News Moves to Google Groups

In an effort to better manage and maintain the current mailing list, we have moved the list over to a new google groups account.  This will not only make it easier for us to manage the list but also make it easier for you to:

1) subscribe or unsubscribe – the first email you receive from us will have a SUBSCRIBE link right in the email.  if you choose NOT to subscribe, you simply just need to delete the email and you won’t get another from us.  ;-)   (you can always subscribe or unsubscribe later by visiting the google groups page, clicking the link at the bottom of any of the google group emails or visiting the “Register/Opt Out” link at the right side of the page here)

2) management – if you do choose to subscribe, you can elect to have the NEM E-News sent to you in a digest format which will be sent to you on a regularly scheduled interval of your choosing or you can just have it sent to you whenever it comes out.

3) you can go to the google groups webpage (the info will be in the email) to read any previous e-news messages that were sent out.

So please stay tuned, you will be receiving your google groups invite in the next few days.  We hope you join!

-Nate

New Website…again…

After significant positive (and negative) feedback from many of our readers, we have decided to go back to a very simple and easy format for the NEM website…

The new format allows for better and easier updating of swimming news (both local and national), allows for swimmers to comment on anything they see on the site (you must register first) and allows for all swimmers to quickly find information that they need such as results, latest meets and where to swim using a powerful search engine and easy to navigate tabs.

We will continue to send out the E-news to those people, and ONLY those people, who subscribe via the google groups email which we will be sending out on the week of the 11th.  This gives people the opportunity to freely opt-in or opt-out of the NEM E-news.

The new site also has a built-in RSS feed which you can subscribe to in your favorite RSS reader. This will allow you to have the latest news delivered right to your PC.

We hope you like the new format.

-Nate
