2006 New England LMSC SCM Championship

from Ed Gendreau:

MEET ANNOUCEMENT:
2006 New England LMSC Short Course Meters Championship
and New England Masters Workout Group Challenge;
December 15-17, 2006 at Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center

Meet information is published:
http://www.greatbaymasters.org/06scmchamp.php

What’s new this year:
- the meet moves to a new venue, a state of the art two-year old facility on
Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. The competition pool at the Boston University
FitRec Center features ten racing lanes with additional area for continuous
warm up and warm down, electronic timing and scoreboard. Water depth is 7 to
13.5 feet. Site of the 2006 America East Championship where 26 meet records
were set. See pool photo on meet web page.
- The meet is a little later than it has been in the past, moving to the third
weekend in December, the 15th to the 17th. Mark your calendars!
- The start time for the Saturday and Sunday sessions is an hour later: 9:00
a.m. warm-up, 10:00 a.m. racing starts
- Team awards: Awards will be given to the top ten scoring USMS clubs and to
the top ten New England Masters workout groups.

We anticipate a large and exciting meet at this new, fast pool. A lot of work
has gone into preparing for this meet at a premier facility in a great
location. We hope to see you there.
